Christian Pulisic: Chelsea midfielder pictured at club’s training ground, but can he play in Europa League final?

Christian Pulisic visited Chelsea’s training ground on Monday after the end of the Bundesliga season.

Pulisic signed for the Blues in January but spent the remainder of 2018/19 on loan at Borussia Dortmund, helping them to a second place finish behind Bayern Munich.

BVB played their final match of the campaign on Saturday afternoon, with Pulisic grabbing an assist and later bidding farewell to his first club.

The 20-year-old faces a busy summer with the United States taking part in the Gold Cup, but Pulisic wasted no time in linking up with his new team-mates.

He was pictured at the Blues’ Cobham training ground on Monday to watch Maurizio Sarri’s side train, with Chelsea preparing for next week’s Europa League final.

But while Pulisic might have already linked up with Chelsea, there is no way he can play for them in the Europa League final.

For any player to appear in the Baku showpiece, they had to have been registered back in January when European squads were submitted to UEFA.

This means any of Chelsea’s returning loanees cannot play against Arsenal, although clubs are allowed to name youth players on their B list to include them in the final.
