It was another routine win for Celtic in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday evening but one distasteful incident during the game somewhat tainted their victory.
Goals from Timothy Weah and Ryan Christie in each half stretched Neil Lennon’s side’s lead at the top to 13 points – but over the top celebrations from Hoops fans left St Mirren goalkeeper Vaclaf Hladky completely startled,
Celtic supporters launched a firework onto the pitch in the celebrations of Christie’s late strike.
The Czech glovesman then appeared visibly disturbed by the incident, clutching his ear shortly after it went off.
The firework did not make contact with Hladky but he was frightened as as it set off right in close proximity to him .
St Mirren manager Oran Kearny has confirmed his goalkeeper is a ‘little bit shaken’ from the incident but should be okay.

Meanwhile Hoops boss Neil Lennon has reiterated Celtic’s no tolerance approach to pyrotechnics in grounds.
“From our standpoint at the club we don’t want pyrotechnics, fireworks, bangers, flares in the stadium,” he said.
“I’m just hoping that the St Mirren goalkeeper is all right. Health and safety of the players is paramount. And I don’t think it’s a necessity that anyone needs in the stadium.
“It doesn’t serve any purpose. It may have hurt somebody and it puts a delay in the game that you don’t need.”
