Tottenham have reportedly scouted seven players ahead of the summer with Spurs expected to finally buy a new player after two transfer windows with no signings.
The Lilywhites became the first team to not complete a single incoming deal during the Premier League’s summer transfer window last year, and they also went through the whole of January staying away from the market.
It is understood Tottenham have been financially hamstrung due to the escalating costs of their new stadium, though the expenditure has now finished with the ground to open at the beginning of next month.
With the purse strings loosened, Mauricio Pochettino is expected to delve back into the market in a bid to improve his squad.
And The Guardian report Spurs have scouted a number of players ahead of the summer window.

Jack Grealish, the Aston Villa midfielder, and Celtic full-back Kieran Tierney are the most high-profile names on Tottenham’s shortlist. The north Londoners are long-term admirers of Grealish, and it was a surprise they did not sign him last summer.
Tierney is a target for many of Europe’s biggest clubs, with Tottenham’s local rivals Arsenal recently entering the race for him.
Along with Grealish, Spurs have looked at two other Championship players – Norwich’s Max Aarons and Jarrod Bowen of Hull – while they have also cast their eye over Premier League trio David Brooks (Bournemouth), Sean Longstaff (Newcastle) and Harvey Barnes (Leicester).
