Roberto Firmino had been struggling with an injury
He had returned to training ahead of their trip to the Nou Camp, with commentary live on talkSPORT, but was 50/50 as to whether he would be ready.
The Brazilian was only named as a substitute while Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson both miss out.
Joe Gomez starts along with Fabinho, who was passed fit after missing the Huddersfield win following a blow to the head in the previous game.
