Euro 2020 qualifiers: Courtois makes absolute howler for Belgium against Russia and Chelsea fans LOVE it – ‘Karma continues to hunt reptiles’

The last two weeks has been an absolute nightmare for Thibaut Courtois and it’s just got a whole lot worse.

The Real Madrid shot-stopper has just gifted Russia a goal with an absolute howler in Belgium’s Euro 2020 qualifying opener.

The Belgian has never been reliable with his feet but he thought otherwise after drifting out of his box with the ball.

Unfortunately for the Real Madrid glovesman, his legs evaded him after some pressure from behind and he couldn’t help tripping over to gift Russia the equaliser.

Striker Denis Cheryshev was on hand to rifle the ball into the open net to the dismay of the embarrassed keeper – and it has topped off a miserable fortnight for the stopper, who was dropped by the returned Zinedine Zidane in the Frenchman’s first match back.

However, it’s not all doom and gloom for everyone as it’s safe to say Blues fans are absolutely revelling in his misfortune on social media.
