Peter Crouch has won a UEFA poll for the best acrobatic goal scored in the Champions League.
The 38-year-old beat Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Mario Mandzukic after appealing for votes to his followers on Twitter that number more than 630,000.
Crouch scored a stunning overhead kick against Galatasaray when he connected sweetly with Steve Finnan̢۪s cross as Liverpool won 3-2 at Anfield in 2006.
Retweeting the official Champions League account on Twitter when asking for fans to pick their favourite, he said: â€Å“These players have won loads.
â€Å“Give me a break.
â€Å“I could tell the kids who I beat.â€
Since then, Ronaldo, Bale and Mandzukic have all scored similar overhead kicks against Juventus, Liverpool and Real Madrid, respectively.
Reds fans will remember the Welshman̢۪s volley in their 3-1 Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid last season.
