There is a ‘very strong possibility’ Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen will join Real Madrid this summer, talkSPORT has been told.
The 27-year-old Denmark international is a key man for Spurs and one of the Premier League’s top stars, but he has just 18 months remaining on his contract in north London.

Eriksen has been stalling on a new deal at Tottenham
While a number of his team-mates have recently signed new deals, Eriksen is yet to commit to new terms and there is mounting uncertainly over his future.
Eriksen is not the only Premier League star Real are said to be keeping an eye on – Harry Kane continues to be linked with a big-money move to Spain while Liverpool’s in-form star Sadio Mane has also been mooted as a potential target.
talkSPORT 2 were joined by European football commentator Kevin Hatchard on Thursday to share the latest transfer news from Spain, and he said:
“Kane and Mane are not realistic, because they’ve recently signed long term contracts.

“I know we’ve seen situations where players have signed long term deals to protect the club so they can get a bigger transfer fee, but Mane has always spoken in glowing terms about working for Jurgen Klopp, he seems very happy and Liverpool are clearly heading in the right direction.
“I’d be very surprised if he made that move to Real, and it’s the same with Harry Kane.

“Kane is very much Mr Spurs and as long as Mauricio Pochettino is there – and that looks a lot more likely now that Zidane is back at Real Madrid and Solskjaer is doing so well at Manchester United – I think Kane will stay.
“The Eriksen thing is interesting because, while there has been talk about it for a long time, he hasn’t signed a new contract at Spurs.
“The feeling in Spain is that there is a very strong possibility Real Madrid will be able to get that deal done.â€
