Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly has a two-man shortlist if he needs to replace David Ge Gea this summer.
The Spanish international has emerged as a major transfer target for Paris Saint-Germain after talks over extending his contract at Old Trafford stalled over his £350,000-a-week wage demands.
The Red Devils have had a long standing interest in Everton star Jordan Pickford, who initially caught the eye of United’s former boss Jose Mourinho last year after playing a pivotal role as England reached the World Cup semi-finals in Russia.
And although Pickford̢۪s form for Everton has dipped somewhat this season, he is still very much on Solskjaer̢۪s radar.
Pickford, 25, would command a transfer fee as high as £60million to tempt Everton into selling one of their prized assets.
Atletico Madrid stopper Jan Oblak is also on their wanted list but the Red Devils may have to pay a world record fee for a keeper to land him.
Chelsea splashed out £71million to Athletic Bilbao for Kepa Arrizabalaga last summer, with Atletico allegedly rating Oblak around the £85million mark.
Should De Gea sign a new deal at United, he would become their best-paid player alongside Alexis Sanchez.
