Ryan Mason believes it could be time for Manchester United to drop David De Gea.
The goalkeeper̢۪s recent form has come into question after a string of errors have led to goals.
He was again at fault when Marcos Alonso scored Chelsea̢۪s equaliser in the Premier League match at Old Trafford on Sunday, which ended 1-1.
The 28-year-old has been a consistent performer for United over a number of seasons but former Tottenham and Hull midfielder Mason believes he could be benched.
He told talkSPORT: â€Å“It’s a mental thing for me. I think he had a really, really poor World Cup with Spain as well and it has carried on into this season.
â€Å“There has always been speculation about his future but now we are seeing someone who’s confidence is shattered.
â€Å“A year ago there was talk of him being one of the best ‘keepers in the world.
â€Å“You look at him now and he is doing well to keep his place at United.
